What's on the menu?
I will strive to give you the very best all-round Danish food experience – from breakfast to dessert.
We will start off at a classic Danish bakery, with some bread and butter and a piece of Danish pastry.
Along the way we taste traditional Danish “smørrebrød”, or open-faced rye bread sandwiches, with herring, but also get to try a more modern version of smørrebrød. No smørrebrød experience is complete without Danish snaps and beer.
We go past one of the best cheesemongers in Copenhagen to sample some cheeses that have put Denmark on the map.
Naturally you finish with some dessert in the shape of a “flødebolle” – a classic Danish chocolate-covered sweet treat. You have to try it – trust me!
There is of course even more on the menu, but I don’t want to ruin all the surprises. Just show up very hungry, and I will take good care of you.
Tour Info
Meeting time is at 11 am (or else another time is noted in the booking) and the tour will run for approximately 4 ½ hours.
The meeting point is either at Havnegade 80 or at Israels Plads depending on day of the week and other factors. You will be notified of the meeting point via mail a few days before the tour, so be sure to check your mail beforehand.
The total length of the walking tour is about 4-5 km, but we do it at a pace that everyone can follow.
The price is 950DKK and it includes all food samples and drinks. There will be about 10-14 samples per person per tour.
Read this before booking
- The price includes all food and drinks. Meat (including pork) and alcohol will be served on the tour. Alcohol is of course optional and we can serve water or soda instead. There is no substitute for meat dishes.
The tour will go ahead no matter the weather conditions so dress accordingly.
The tour will end a stone’s throw from the famous walking and shopping street “Strøget”, right in the center of the city. I will be able to guide you on from there.
We will visit 7-8 different food locations along the way and the amount of food will be similar to a very large lunch so don’t fill up on breakfast (a breakfast sample will be part of the tour).

The tour costs 950DKK (approximately €127). All sales are final – no refunds are offered (except for cancellations) but your booking can be changed for a different date depending on availability.
